LMS and Safety Management

Hello, this is Breean. And this is David with 360 Immersive. Join us here when you want to learn more about what’s new with virtual reality and safety training.

So David, in the last six to 12 months, a question that we’re getting a lot from our enterprise level clients is how can I integrate my virtual reality training modules into my existing LMS, or learning management system?

So, how to we overcome that? What is the process now?

David:  Well, that’s an extremely important part of where we’re going as an organization is to build in those hooks into our platform so that any organization can tie in into their LMS or safety management system because nobody wants an outrider. No body wants all this great training and yet it doesn’t tie into what they’re used to, how they’re normally working, how they’re able to track their employees.

And so, it’s been a real priority with us to create that software to be able to tie in. And frankly, as long as we’re dealing with a system that is scoring 1.2 compliant or XAPI, which is the new standard, we’ll be able to talk to it.  What does that really mean? It means that number one, it’s relatively seamless to integrate VR, AR, or the new term XR, which is extended reality, into a system. You can track based on user. You can track based on course. You can do all the things that you do now, but you can include immersive training. So, that’s one of the things that has been a real priority, and in fact we’re building it even on a base level into our you train VR and do it together program so that even that platform will have a basic LMS functionality.

So, we’re excited about being able to offer our clients and answer the question, yes, we can talk to your LMS and yes, we can integrate into your safety management system. And you no longer have to feel that an employee wanting to utilize virtual reality or one of your managers that wants to integrate it into their system that that system has to sit as an outwriter.

Breean:  Or you won’t have to re-invent the wheel.

David:    Absolutely.

Breean:  You’re gonna be able to keep using the things that work well for you and enhance it or make it better by adding virtual reality into it. And you’re gonna be able to get those actionable metrics and get that feedback on how your employees are performing better as a result of the new training. That’s amazing news.

David:    We area absolutely excited about it.

Breean:   All right. Well David, thank you for updating us on what that looks like. If you want to learn more about how virtual reality is going to enhance safety training, then we’d love you to follow us here. We’ll see you next time.
